I began working on Avalanche after hearing the COVID-19 news on home self-quarantine. Panic attacks hit me, and I felt as if I was suffocating and trapped under a thick blanket of snow during a massive blizzard whiteout. I listened to the song "Poetry Man" by Phoebe Snow and closed it out with Manfred Mann's Earth Band, "For You." Lyrics: 'I broken all your windows' 'Blue walls get in the way of the facts' 'here's your mirror and your ball and jacks' 'I came for so much more' 'For You'
